Mark Harrison Wins 2012 Three Peaks Challenge

Bradford City webmaster Mark Harrison won this years Bantamstrek Three Peaks Challenge in 9 hours and 2 minutes. He now joins our hall of fame which will be added to our website in honour of the first person to finish what we want to be an annual event. He said after the walk “It was a challenging but enjoyable day for us all. To be doing it for a charity so close to the clubs heart makes it even more special. I’d like to thank Graham very much for again taking the time and effort to organise the whole event”

It was nice for everyone involved with Bantamstrek to see Mark finish first as he has been of great help in letting Bradford City fans know about what Bantamstrek our doing through the official website, something which has been instrumental in raising money and awareness of what we have been doing.

Graham Duckworth spoke not long after the walk to show his gratitude to everybody who took part, he said “It was really difficult conditions and the turn out was great considering. I was glad to see so many people and anybody who does the walk should be proud of what they achieved. Best of all the Bradford Burns Unit will benefit from the sponsor money that was raised”.

We do not know how much has been raised yet, but will be letting people know once the final figure is in. Last year the 3 Peaks Challenge raised over £10,000 for the Bradford Burns Unit and featured then manager Peter Jackson and Lee Bullock who recently joined York City. Lee Bullock expressed his desire to remain as a Bantamstrek Patron and we are pleased he has decided to do so.

Guy Branston who could not make it to the walk sent messages of encouragement via Twitter.

Earlier this week James Hanson joined Simon Ramsden and Lee Bullock as patron of Bantamstrek and he is expected to be with Graham Duckworth at the Wrose Carnival.

Once again everybody at Bantamstrek including web designers Easybiz Sites would like to say a big thank you to everybody who took part in the walk and we hope to see you again next year.
